Cattle on Feed Preview 06/20 12:06

                        USDA Actual Average Guess Range
Cattle on Feed:
On Feed June 1 xxxxx 101.3% 101.0-101.9%

Marketed in May xxxxx 100.8% 99.8-101.1%

"Cattle on feed numbers at the end of May are expected to be
slightly higher following the recent upward tick in cattle
numbers through the spring," said DTN Analyst Rick Kment. "Early
trade estimates are pegged at 101.3% year-ago levels. These
estimates focus on a pullback in cattle placements form May
2018. With the full range of placement estimates from 93.2-
98.9%, the average estimate of cattle moving into feedyards
during May is 95.9%. These estimates are expected to be
generally neutral to the market at this point with market
emphasis on grain market shifts and long-term beef demand
expectations."

The USDA Cattle on Feed report is scheduled for release at 2
p.m. CDT on Friday, June 21.
